Cookies used by Pelican Rouge
As there are only a few cookies used on this website, we have listed them all here.
ExpressionEngine Pelican Rouge uses a Content Management System called ExpressionEngine, which installs a number of cookies to track a user’s session, when they last visited or did something on the site.
exp_expiration Determines the length of the session for a logged in user. There are two options for this cookie: if the user has selected remember me then it is set to 1 year, and if not then it’s set to the datetime that the user logged in. Used only for logged in members.
exp_last_activity Every time the state is updated (the page reloaded) the last activity is set to the current datetime. Used to determine expiry. This is essential for logged in users, but not for guests – it is set for both.
exp_last_visit Sets the datetime that the user last visited the site, and is set for both guests and logged in users. If not set, is automatically set to 10 years ago. Affects guests and logged in users.
exp_sessionid Used only for logged in members, this uniquely generated ID corresponds to the session_id column in the exp_session table. Used when cookie and session are set as the session type.
exp_tracker Tracks the last 5 pages viewed by the user, and is used primarily for redirection after logging in etc. Affects guests and logged in users.
exp_stashid A session cookie that helps with page content caching.
exp_publisher_tracker These cookies are set and used by the Publisher add-on, which handles the mutli-language functionality of the site. They allow users to change the language they are viewing the site in.
Google Analytics, _ga, _gat Pelican Rouge uses Google Analytics to monitor traffic levels, search queries and visits to this website. Google Analytics stores IP address (anonymously) on its servers in the United States, and neither Pelican Rouge or Google associate your IP address with any personally identifiable information.
A mixture of both persistent and session cookies are used to enable Google to determine whether you are a return visitor to this site and to track the pages that you visit during your session.
Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as was previously mentioned if there is something that you aren’t sure whether you need or not it’s usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interact with one of the features you use on our site. However if you are still looking for more information then you can contact us through one of our preferred contact methods.
